Dog days of summer are here and the girls all say it’s too hot for pants. They asked for cute dresses that can work for a day out shopping or night of clubbing. How could I refuse? These are available in three fabrics currently, though I hope to add more! Lengths are customizable and the dress is available in virtually any size! Dresses for bigger girls are $30, $25 for minis and $15 for Yo/Bambicrony/Rosen Lied sized kiddies. Unfortunately, these aren’t available for smaller tinies than 26cm.

Going on Hiatus!

I don’t usually take a lot of time off during the year, but I’ve got a lot on my plate this month – a graduation party to host, NY Dolpa, fabric shopping expedition in the NY fashion district and then a much-deserved rest at a friend’s country house in upstate New York. I’ll be out until June 28. If you absolutely need something sooner, please order before Monday, June 7. Tuesday the 8th is my last shipping day until my return from NY!

As always, when I’m traveling, I will answer emails and process orders. I just won’t be around to sew or ship until June 28. I promise it will be worth the wait and I’ll have some awesome new fabrics on my return!

I’m always a little sad when my favorite jeans, you know the ones – super soft and really worn in – need to go into the bin. It always seems like such a waste, because there’s usually a fair amount of good fabric left on them. So I started cutting them up to make trous for the resin!kids and those pants usually become the go-to choice when I want a comfy-cuddly-casual or distressed-disaffected-urban look. A few customers agreed and have been asking, so I’ve quietly been offering Recycled fabrics.

And like your favorite pair of jeans, sometimes these trous are showing a bit of wear. Recycled trous can be Wrecked either a little or a lot. All you have to do is ask and the denim-wrecking-crew goes to work.

Where do these fabrics come from? Usually from donated garments that are not quite ready to be completely retired. Sometimes if I see something on the clearance rack that’s exceptional, like a recent, bargain find of red-washed-black, skinny jeans in an unsellably microscopic size, I’ll grab it and start cutting. And it’s not just denim! I’ve found some amazing, super-soft, stretch cords headed for dustbins and grabbed them up. All fabrics are laundered before use, so buy with confidence.

You won’t find Recycled fabrics mixed in with the usual swatches. Stock is ever-changing and very limited. But if you think you’d like to make your trouser choices green, drop me an email and ask about availability!

A very special project with BJDCollectasy

A few weeks ago I received a very cool invitation to participate in a Steampunk project with BJDCollectasy, one of my favorite online BJD magazines! The challenge was to produce a Steampunk outfit for a mini sized BJD. Faster than you can say jodhpurs, my imagination was in high gear. The resulting article is now live!

Even in this wintry season, lovers celebrate. To honor Valentine’s Day, I have a very limited, cotton brocade, custom hand-dyed in hybiscus tea. Sakura (sold out now, sorry!) is an elegant fabric. Once white, this fabric now wears just the slightest blush of pink and the faintest scent of flowers and tea. It’s so rare that I’m not offering it for sale, but as a gift with purchase. Only this weekend, with the purchase of two skirts or trousers, I will include your choice of trousers or skirt in limited edition Sakura. Because of the rarity of this fabric, only one gift item is available per customer. It will not be offered again, so get yours before midnight EST on Valentine’s Day!

For some time I’ve been thinking about creating a special line of one of a kind garments that are a little more elaborate than my regular line. The first of these garments are a series of skirts designed for mini and 56-60 cm dolls. Each one is slightly different.
