I had a chance to do a little shopping last weekend and found two really amazing fall fabrics. Burn-out is probably the coolest denim I've ever seen. It's a brushed denim, with the nap burned out in random patches to show the bare denim weave. Sweet November is a super-soft, golden brown stretch cord with a very cool pattern in deep red, black and cream.

Since last year's Halloween Exclusive was such a raging success, I've found an exclusive fabric for this Halloween. Phantom is a dazzlingly white, optical PVC. This special fabric is not for sale, but it can be had, for one week only. I had a very successful buying trip this week. I managed to restock a few leathers and fabrics that were perilously low in supply, and I found a terrific cache of new stretch brocades and sateens. Favorite fabric Highwayman now has two sister fabrics, Cutlass and Flintlock, perfect for the rogue in every doll. Speaking of bad boys, I’m excited to introduce three new choices, Verlaine, Rimbaud and Voltaire. Continuing this theme are Courtesan, a wildly colorful twin of the gorgeous and popular brocade Noir, and Sinful, a lush, dark chocolate stretch velvet.

For those with a more virtuous bent, Always a Bridesmaid and White Wedding are sure to please. Stretch sateens Seagrass and Sagebrush are the perfect all-season selections. No new leathers this time, but perhaps these glorious new fabrics will satisfy until the next big shopping trip.

NY Dolpa 3 was a glorious event. Volks and Fashion Doll Quarterly organized a wonderful party, but sadly, a shadow was cast on the party by the theft of seven of the display dolls Volks brought just for this celebration.

Mr. Shigeta, Pat Henry, publisher of FDQ and all of the Volks staff and FDQ volunteers handled this difficult and very sad situation with a great deal of grace, working to keep the focus positive, in hopes that this terrible act could somehow bring everyone there closer together. The authorities are still trying to get to the bottom of what happened. You can help! Please take a look at this link to the FDQ website.

Shopping in NY yielded five, gorgeous new leathers, first - the perfect white - immaculate, brilliant, soft matte white. I'm calling this one Alabaster. I'm also really excited about summery Sand Dollar, a gorgeous ivory ostrich. For the reptile lovers, we have Venomous, a red-orange snakeskin with black higlights and Gila, a black and grey lizard print, very like my last NY find, Komodo. And for the elves in the crowd I finally found a buttery soft, beautiful matte forest green called Sylvan. Get these while they last - I'm not sure when I'll be getting back to NY for a new supply!

I'm enroute to New York for Dolpa and leather shopping. While I'll be available to answer email requests and take orders, shipping will be delayed until my return on June 10. Sorry for the inconvenience, but please look forward to new leathers when I get back!

Had a little time to go shopping this past weekend and the trip yielded some very nice things. First we have three awesome new fabrics - Highwayman, a glossy-sexy, stretch, stripe-brocade, Highlander for the goth kids and the secret Scots, and Mist - a dreamy not-quite-denim. Two new leathers join the line-up too - Twilight, a soft, deep navy matte and edgy, shiny Fetish, for the dark and the daring.

I'm just back from a quickie buying trip and I've got two new leathers and a stretch denim to show for it. First, for all the X-Files fans out there, awaiting the new movie this summer as anxiously as I am, I found two gorgeous new ostrich leathers, Area 51 and Tunguska. And I've been trying to get this denim back in stock for ages! For the true blue believers and skeptics alike, Stone Washed denim returns.

I'm back from holiday with the psychedelic new stretch denim, Haight-Ashbury. It's a very limited edition fabric so don't grab yours before it's gone!

It's still snowing daily here, so I'll be heading to sunny California for a much needed vacation at the end of the week. Leather shopping in LA and San Francisco is on the agenda, so keep watching for new arrivals when I return. MarshPants will be on on hiatus from March 5 though the 18th. Orders received after the the 5th will not ship until my return, though I will be available for inquiries and requests during the hiatus.

I'm back from The Big Apple with six gorgeous new leathers. First up, three reptiles - Viper, a blood red and black snakeskin, Komodo, an ivory and deep sand colored lizard texture and Caiman, deep green and black, bayou ready, and like the others, sexy as hell. I also found three gorgeous matte leathers - Cinnabar, a rich antique red with a rich, soft sheen, pure white Snow and Manhattan Black, a butter-soft black with a beautiful grain pattern. Supplies are limited, and I won't be back in New York until summertime, so don't hesitate!

I'm off to New York to attend Toy Fair and shop for leathers this Saturday. While I'll still be available to answer emails and take orders, any order received after 5pm Thursday, February 14 will not be shipped until my return on the 21st. They say there's no rest for the wicked, and when great leathers like Hematite sell out, it's time to shop. While the hunt for more of that very cool stuff was unsuccessful, I bought some yardage of its sister, Voodoo. This is an amazing, high gloss in darkest violet, smoked with black. I also found two new stretch brocades, Millionaire and Magnate, in rich green and black for rezin!kidz who love the color of money!
